Thanks to the weight saved through multi-material construction, Cobra could use up to 30% additional carbon. As a result, you produce increased flight for greater carry and total driver distance. The added velocity leading into impact bolsters energy transfer to impart elevated pace and minimal spin on the golf ball. The outcome is a chassis that is 8.3 grams lighter than its predecessors for improved aerodynamics and clubhead speed on the downswing. Multi-Material ConstructionĬobra paired a lightweight carbon crown and sole plate with a strong, light titanium body. As a result, I found the Cobra LTD x prevented speed drop-off on off-center strikes, delivering consistent launch, ball flight, and carry yards. A combination of CNC machining and A.I learning helped Cobra identify the most commonly struck areas on the clubface.Ī variable thickness pattern is applied to the clubface to help explode the golf ball off the face while restricting spin. Rickie Fowler’s sponsor added their “Highly Optimized Topology” technology to the Cobra LTD driver range for forgiveness across the clubface. In addition, a 15-gram back weight provides outstanding stability to ensure minimal spin and rapid ball speed across the clubface on all strikes. The additional mass enhances energy transfer at contact, imparting maximum power on your golf ball for a high, long tee shot. A 14-gram internal weight and 5 grams of external mass provide a total of 19 grams directly behind the clubface. The engineers decided to employ PWR-COR technology to the Cobra LTDx, which caused the increased weight to sit low and forward. Fed-Ex, however, put 2-3 days on the labels and it took 7 going out and 8 coming back. Cobra told me it would take 7 to 10 days. Which I will take some pictures of and stick on our marketplace here, to see if anyone is interested in it. So, I now have a brand new Cobra RadSpeed Head and a brand new Hzrdus Smoke RDX 6.0 shaft. I took the head from that and stuck it on my existing shaft. It's a nice looking head, don't get me wrong. My only real complaint with Cobra is I sent them the Navy/Red head and they sent me back the Black/Yellow head. Which feels like a lifetime to be without a driver. So all told, I shipped it out on the 4th and got it back on the 29th. It took Fed-Ex 8 days to get it back to me (again, the label said 2-3 days). Fed Ex took a week to get it to them (even though the label said 2-3 days). Which is how long they told me it would take (actually they said a week to 10 days). I got a new head for my driver yesterday.įed Ex took forever. I'll update when I get the next communication from Cobra. And three, It looks like this is one of those things that will only get worse as time goes by.Īnyone know, is this something Cobra needs to replace, or am I screwed here?ĭang. The driver especially has never been without its headcover for more than a few minutes. One, I always take really good care of my clubs. I really didn't notice any performance difference when hitting it last. Which makes me think the layers are separating or something to that effect. Also, the part that's cracking is raised up, not smashed in. I'm pretty sure I didn't cause this damage as I have never thrown the club, or even slammed it on the ground in any way. I look closer and I think it's either cracked or the layers are starting to separate. As I'm wiping down my Cobra Radspeed Driver I can feel a ridge where there shouldn't be a ridge.
